The World of Photonics Congress that is held in conjunction with the trade fair is the leading technical conference in Europe and ranked in the top 3 worldwide. Due to close interaction between the scientific and industrial sectors and its diverse range of themes, the congress is the only event in the world that covers the photonics sector in its entirety.
The congress is distinguished by its scientific orientation, which is rounded out by application-oriented events such as the Application Panels. Topics range from the latest findings in research and development to medical applications, sensors, industrial image processing and the use of lasers in manufacturing.
